DriveLedger — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 11, 2026
DriveLedger is built to be private by default.
What we collect
Nothing. DriveLedger has no account system and no analytics. We (the developer) never receive your name, your location, your drives, or any other data.
Where your data lives
All of your drive records are stored locally on your device. If you choose to enable Cloud Backup, your drive files are copied to a folder in your own iCloud (or other file provider) account that you select. That data goes only to your account — never to us or any third party.
Location
DriveLedger uses your device’s location, including in the background, solely to record the route, distance, and timing of a driving session while you are actively recording a drive. Location data is written only to your on-device logbook and your optional personal cloud backup. It is never transmitted to the developer or sold or shared with anyone.
Notifications
If you grant permission, DriveLedger shows a local notification to remind you that a drive is still recording. Notifications are generated on your device; no notification data leaves your device.
Children
DriveLedger is intended for use by learner drivers, who may be minors, typically with a parent or guardian. Because the app collects no personal data and requires no account, it does not knowingly transmit any information about any user, including children.
Data deletion
You are in full control. Deleting a drive, the app’s data, or the app itself removes the records from your device. Files already copied to your personal iCloud folder can be deleted from your iCloud.
