DriveLedger — Support

DriveLedger is a supervised-driving logbook. You tap once to start recording a drive, lock your phone, and the app captures your route, duration, night hours, and speed metrics — then saves an immutable, checksummed record you can export as a DMV-ready PDF. It works fully offline; no account is required.

Common questions

Do I need an account? No. DriveLedger has no login and no cloud service. Everything is stored locally on your device.

Where are my drives saved? On your device. If you turn on Cloud Backup, copies are mirrored to a folder in your own iCloud (or other file provider) account that you choose — never to us. See the Privacy Policy.

Why does the app need location in the background? So it can record your route, distance, and timing while your phone is locked during a drive. Location is used only while a drive is actively recording, and it never leaves your device except to your optional personal backup.

How do I export my logbook? Open the Export tab and generate a PDF of your master logbook to share with an instructor or the DMV.

Can I edit or delete a drive? Completed drives are append-only, so they can’t be edited — that’s what makes the log trustworthy. You can delete a drive, and deleting the app removes all of its on-device data.

Privacy
